Rashida Tlaib Is Melting Down

Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is having a really rough couple of months. Who can blame her? She’s grieving the loss of Hezbollah terrorists who were killed when Israel blew up their pagers; Donald Trump could soon overtake Kamala Harris in the Michigan polls; and in one of the cities she represents, Dearborn, an Arab-American PAC just announced they would not endorse a candidate for President this election, after historically siding with Democrats.

No wonder she’s been lashing out, and this time Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was directly in her crosshairs. Tlaib recently posted on X:

Her words caught the attention of Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. Danny Danon, who almost immediately hit back:

The only ones who burned children alive were your buddies over at Hamas.

Tlaib, who is a terrorist sympathizer, is referring to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas and recent threats by the Biden Administration, specifically Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, that it will withhold weapons from Israel if more humanitarian aid is not sent into Gaza. Here is part of a letter the Administration sent to Israeli leaders:

The amount of assistance entering Gaza in September was the lowest of any month during the past year. . . . [T]o reverse the downward humanitarian trajectory as consistent with its assurances to us, Israel must, starting now and within 30 days act on the following concrete measures . . . . Failure to demonstrate a sustained commitment to implementing and maintaining these measures may have implications for U.S. policy under NSM-20 and relevant U.S. law [i.e. weapons supply].

But according to Politico, in a rare move by someone serving in the Biden White House, Biden’s Special Envoy for Middle East Humanitarian Issues said that Israel is too great of an ally for the United States to withhold anything from them, and Tlaib is enraged.

Tlaib is and has been the most outspoken critic of Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel. She has never condemned Hamas for their horrific actions on October 7, 2023, and has shown zero sympathy for the men, women, and children who were brutally murdered and taken hostage. In fact, it has caused her to kick her hateful rhetoric up a few notches, as noted below:

It’s no coincidence that immediately after our government sent the Israeli apartheid regime over $14 billion with absolutely no conditions on upholding human rights, Netanyahu began a ground invasion of Rafah to continue the genocide of Palestinians . . . .

Also, this comment that she made less than one month after the massacre further proves her hatred:

The entire phrase is “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” and it calls for the extermination of all Jews. It’s also the rallying cry of Hamas.

Even on her best day, Rashida Tlaib is a raging antisemite. Let’s not forget that she once said a peaceful feeling washes over her when she thinks about the worst massacre of Jews in history:

There’s kind of a calming feeling, I always tell folks, when I think about the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors, the Palestinians, who lost their land, and some lost their lives. Their livelihood, their human dignity . . . their existence, in many ways, had been wiped out. All of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews.

Rashida Tlaib has made a mockery of serving in Congress. She’d love nothing more than to see our greatest ally and its people wiped off the face of the planet. We should condemn every single antisemitic word that comes out of her mouth about one of the most sacred, beautiful places in the world. The ACLJ will always stand with Israel.
