The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), in conjunction with the European Center for Law and Justice (ECLJ) and Regent University, has just opened a month-long student-training program and conference on international religious liberty.  We are meeting, as we do each year, in Strasbourg, France, home of the European Court of Human Rights.  We have students from Canada, South Korea, and 30 of the United States represented at our symposium.  Its our privilege to also have former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft serving on our faculty for this program.  It is vital that we continue to train up a generation of lawyers to stand for Judeo-Christian values and international human rights and religious liberty.

Last week, we had 25 students in Israel for a training program on national security law and the history of Zionism.  While I taught the portion dealing with the history of Zionism, ACLJ Senior Counsel and Regent Professor Skip Ash taught the section on the legal basis for the establishment of the State of Israel.  Our students also heard from former Attorney General John Ashcroft, who met with the students at the University of Haifa.

This is part of an ongoing effort to try to train a generation of young lawyers from around the globe to stand for the values that we believe are essential for freedom and liberty.  We have a series of picture from these events for you to view by clicking here.  I would encourage you to continue praying for these young men and women who are showing such initiative and standing up for our values globally.
