I want to thank the thousands who have stood with us in supporting three organizations doing incredible work in the quake-devastated nation of Haiti and alert you to new information posted below that deals with the question many are asking - how can I adopt a child from Haiti?

In a very short period of time, through your generosity, we have raised a total of $90,000 which is being distributed to the three organizations we have partnered with:  The Hands and Feet Project, an orphanage; Conduit Mission, which focuses on church building; and Operation Blessing, which provides medical and other humanitarian relief.

We're delighted that so many of you texted donations through your mobile phones and contributed to this effort online at our website.  In fact, if you would still like to make a contribution, you can do so here. All contributions raised go directly to the three organizations we are working with in Haiti.

We've brought you updates on our radio show about the situation there and how your contributions are making a difference. The fact is there's still tremendous suffering in this nation.  I encourage you to continue to pray for the people there and for those who are engaged in the massive relief effort.

Perhaps one of the most touching scenes from Haiti involves the children - those who are orphaned - those who have no homes.  We know from talking with our friends at the Hands and Feet Project in Haiti that this is a particularly challenging time of providing assistance and aid to these young children.

And, we've heard from many of you - calling our offices to find out more about the adoption process in Haiti.  I had a team of attorneys research Haitian adoption law and we've produced a legal analysis of the situation in Haiti.  It is valuable information about the adoption process. You can read the ACLJ summary here.  The complete ACLJ legal memo on Haitian adoption law is posted here.

Again, thanks for your generosity in helping the Haitian people. Thanks, too, for your continued prayers in a country that has truly been devastated.
