A group of federal court judges has taken judicial activism to a whole new level. In a striking abuse of power, they have rejected the will of California voters and cleared the way for same-sex marriage. We must not let the overreaching actions of the California Supreme Court go unchecked. Stand up for the will of the people and for a constitutional amendment in California to protect marriage. Petition to Protect Marriage

To:
Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger
California State Officials

Not long ago, an overwhelming majority of California voters reaffirmed that marriage is an institution between one man and one woman. We firmly believe that by clearing the way for same-sex marriage in California, the states high court overstepped its authority rejecting the will of those voters and the state legislature.

We stand with Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow and the American Center for Law and Justice in pushing for the protection of the sanctity of marriage and denouncing judicial activism. The California Supreme Court went too far in overriding the will of its citizens. We respectfully ask you to enable the people of California to vote this fall on a constitutional amendment to protect marriage in your state. Furthermore, we believe the court should stay its decision until after the citizens have had the opportunity to vote on the issue in November.

Let the citizens of California decide!
