ACLJ Special Operations Team in Ashkelon and Sderot during Hamas Attacks

I have just left the Israeli city of Sderot which has suffered rocket fire from Hamas for eight years.  Today we experienced first hand the Hamas hatred towards Israel.  While our Special Operations Team was in Sderot, there was incoming rocket fire that required us to be placed in bomb shelters.  Prior to my arrival in Sderot, I was with our team in Ashkelon where additional rockets landed in the city.  We actually had meetings with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Ashkelon in the Strategic Command Center.  Our MultiMedia Center has posted photos that include our meetings in the Command Center. 

While in Ashkelon, I also met with Israeli President Shimon Peres and former Prime Minister BiBi Netanyahu.  Now that I have experienced firsthand the terror of rocket launches aimed at innocent civilians, I can assure you that we are on the right path in supporting Israel in this engagement against Hamas.  These terrorists must be routed out once and for all.  I told both the President and the former Prime Minister that tens of thousands of Americans have added their names and support to our Proclamation of Solidarity and I encourage you to do so as well by clicking here.
