With each new undercover video from the pro-life investigative journalists at the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) revealing more and more details about Planned Parenthood and the business of selling butchered baby body parts, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s happening.

The truth is often lost among the myriad of civil and criminal laws, potential reforms, lawsuits, and political talking points.

What is that truth? Planned Parenthood and the other members of the abortion industry exchange large sums of money in a marketplace of brains, livers, and other body parts of slaughtered babies.

With each new video, there are new pieces added to this puzzle of immorality and potential criminality.  And today, yet another piece of the puzzle was released by CMP.

In its official press release, CMP discloses that its latest video features “undercover conversations with Dr. Katharine Sheehan, the long-time medical director of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest until 2013; Perrin Larton, the Procurement Manager for ABR; and Cate Dyer, the CEO of rival fetal tissue procurement company StemExpress.”

In the latest video, Larton – a top official at ABR which is a long-time supplier of baby body parts – discusses  how abortions performed on women who have previously given birth can go very quickly. Sometimes even, the baby is already in the birth canal and one “just fell out.”

There are discussions with these officials about how money changes hands between organizations like ABR and StemExpress and Planned Parenthood.

The video raises many additional troubling questions.  Do organizations like ABR and StemExpress pay employees of abortion clinics to meet the quotas for baby body parts? Are these companies providing financial kickbacks and incentives to abortionists?

Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards confessed in an August 27th letter to Congress that one California Planned Parenthood affiliate receives $60 per tissue specimen.  Sixty dollars per baby body part sold can add up very quickly.

We have fully analyzed which laws Planned Parenthood could be breaking in previous posts.

But, for now, it’s important to remember the bigger picture. Big abortion is not just slaughtering vulnerable babies – it is making money off of their body parts.

It’s critical to keep the public’s eye on this travesty, and continue to press for legal reforms to end this evil.

ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow will be featured in a Fox News Special Report this Friday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT. Hosted by Shannon Bream, “Planned Parenthood - The Hidden Harvest” will dive into, in the words of Fox News, “the controversy, featuring exclusive new details about the making of those videos, and investigating an industry and field of scientific research that many didn’t even know existed.”

We are thankful for this coverage because, in the last 31 days, the three major news networks have not reported on a single video released.

We continue to defend a board member of The Center for Medical Progress in federal court and continue to work on Capitol Hill to defund and thoroughly investigate Planned Parenthood.
