Planned Parenthood and the rest of the Culture of Death for profit have been caught red-handed.

Big abortion has been exposed for not only slaughtering the unborn but also selling slaughtered babies’ organs to pad “their bottom line.”  Its only defense is the obfuscation of the truth.

Yet a recent federal court order has dealt a major blow to the abortion industry’s case for secrecy.  As the Washington Times reports:

A federal judge in San Francisco ruled Tuesday that the pro-life Center for Medical Progress may comply with a congressional subpoena for undercover video footage related to its Planned Parenthood investigation despite a temporary restraining order.

U.S. District Court Judge William H. Orrick III said he would allow the center to honor the subpoena issued by Rep. Jason Chaffetz, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, overriding the objections of the National Abortion Federation, which requested the restraining order.

In this case, the National Abortion Federation (NAF), filed a lawsuit against the investigative journalists who have been exposing Planned Parenthood’s atrocities in an attempt to keep further information about the harvesting and sale of slaughtered babies’ body parts from coming to public light.  At the ACLJ, we represent one of the board members of the Center for Medical Progress.

The court’s order rightfully allows Congress to continue its investigation of the potential illegality of Planned Parenthood and its allies’ reprehensible activities.  This is a critical step forward in the case for the truth.

Congress has every right to investigate the potential violations of law and the exploitation of legal loopholes by Planned Parenthood – which takes nearly half of its billion-dollar budget from the American taxpayer.

At the same time Congress is taking critical steps toward the formation of a special committee to investigate Planned Parenthood’s egregious actions.  As Fox News reports:

House Republicans Tuesday advanced a resolution creating a special subcommittee to investigate Planned Parenthood following recent revelations about the taxpayer-funded group's fetal tissue harvesting.

The chamber’s Rules Committee passed the resolution by voice vote, sending it to the full House for a vote Wednesday. Republicans likely would have enough votes to approve the resolution and empanel the committee.

This special subcommittee would be empowered with the full evidentiary record from the pro-life investigative journalists who have been exposing the abortion industry in recent months, thanks to the recent federal court ruling allowing it to comply with Congress’s subpoena.

Big abortion’s tactics have long been to delay, deflect, and deceive.  The wall of secrecy is beginning to crumble.  The American people are beginning to see the truth.

The American people are demanding answers.  Over 300,000 have signed our petition to investigate, defund, and close the deadly legal loopholes Planned Parenthood is exploiting on the backs of innocent unborn children.  You can add your name here.

We will continue fighting in court, in Congress, and in the court of public opinion to defend those whose only “crime” is that they have not yet been born and to protect the constitutional rights of those who are willing to defend the defenseless.
