With the deadline for the nuclear negotiations with Iran quickly approaching and American Pastor Saeed’s fate hanging in the balance, the effort to highlight his plight to the White House is gaining momentum.

Last week we told you about an ongoing effort to blitz the White House with postcards urging the Obama Administration to leave no man behind and secure the release of Pastor Saeed, who has been held in captivity for more than two years in Iran because of his Christian faith.

Our friends at BreakPoint have done a great job highlighting this effort.  Here’s some of what BreakPoint’s John Stonestreet had to say:

If you’ve listened to BreakPoint over the past couple years, you’ve probably heard me or Eric Metaxas talk about the plight of Pastor Saeed Abedini and his family. Saeed is an American citizen who has been imprisoned and tortured in Iran, separated from his wife and children, since 2012. . . .

Well today, there’s something you can do to help secure his release. But we don’t have much time.

Right now, President Obama is negotiating with the Iranians to reach an agreement over that country’s nuclear program. The goal—I trust—is to get the Iranians to back away from producing nuclear weapons. In return, the U.S. will continue to ease economic sanctions against the Islamic regime.

These negotiations are reaching a deadline: November 24th.

Now our friends at the American Center for Law and Justice are leading a movement among Christians “to blitz the White House with postcards asking that President Obama not forget Pastor Saeed” during these negotiations.

You or your church can purchase and mail pre-printed postcards addressed to the President. They are available in bulk packages of 100 postcards through Trinity Worldwide Reprographics. . . .

ACLJ suggests that you might set up a table at your church and have people sign the postcards and then mail them together to the White House.

We’re grateful to BreakPoint for highlighting this effort and continuing to press for Pastor Saeed’s release.  Already over 80,000 postcards have been purchased as part of this campaign.

You can learn more about how you can get involved in the postcard campaign here.

We also told you this week about Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren continuing to keep Pastor Saeed in the media.

And earlier today she posted this on Twitter:

As momentum continues to build, we’re continuing to fight for this persecuted pastor – a U.S. citizen – to be released and returned to his wife and kids in America.

Please keep Pastor Saeed in your prayers and continue to sign the petition for his freedom (below and) at BeHeardProject.com.
