A St. Louis businessman is asking a federal court to halt implementation of the Health and Human Services mandate that violates his religious beliefs.
The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) represents Frank O'Brien of O'Brien Industrial Holdings ( earlier story). ACLJ attorney Frank Manion tells OneNewsNow O'Brien, a Catholic, has a religious objection to being forced to purchase insurance that provides free coverage for contraception, abortifacient drugs and sterilization.
Though the plaintiff's business is not technically "religious," the ACLJ attorney asserts that O'Brien's personal beliefs are not separate from how he runs his business. . .
