Health Care Reform: Where's the Equal Treatment?
As you know, we're in federal court challenging President Obama's federal health care law. We believe the government-run program, which funds abortion, is unconstitutional. That's why we have filed suit in federal court in Washington, DC and are supporting efforts by Virginia and Florida in their legal challenges.
Clearly, ObamaCare is flawed on numerous levels. Now, comes word that many of the nation's largest companies simply can't foot the bill for ObamaCare. So, the Obama Administration is granting waivers - exempting some 30 companies and groups - from having to follow the health care law.
And, get this: the biggest beneficiary of the Obama exemption - a teacher's union - one of the President's key political backers that supported the health care bill.
So, on one hand - the organizations and groups who supported the health care reform package - now say they don't want it - can't afford it. Coupled with that, interject the element of politics into all of this - with real questions about political favoritism - one of the nation's largest teachers union - The United Federation of Teachers - spent money to support the President's election bid and backed this troubling health care law. That union gets a pass.
As the concerns about the health care law continue to mount, and the revelations about these new exemptions get attention, the questions surface: How can you create a level playing field for all Americans when you're playing favorites? Is this the kind of health care America deserves?
No, America deserves much more. That's why we remain dedicated to our legal challenge against ObamaCare and we want you to stand with us in this fight. As we continue to file briefs, please take a moment and add your name to our Committee to Stop Pro-Abortion Health Care - and join our amicus brief.
What's clear in all of this is that ObamaCare is not in the best interest of Americans - not in the best interest of our nation.
We're not giving up on health care reform. Neither should you. Stand with us today in our legal challenges.
