The Real Anti-Christian Bigotry

What is most troubling about the fact that the U.S. Army has rescinded an invitation for Franklin Graham to speak at the Pentagon for a National Day of Prayer service is the organization behind the move.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation is headed by Mikey Weinstein, who I have debated on this issue in the past.  The real agenda here is to target Christianity.  How else could you explain comments from Weinstein comparing Christian believers in the military to al-Qaeda and the Taliban: Were fighting al-Qaeda, were fighting the Taliban, and were turning our own military into the exact same thing, Weinstein proclaims on his own website.

And, Weinstein also openly and notoriously mocks Christian teachings: I knew what Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me.  The problem is, if you dont cometh to him, hes going to have to hurt you, really badly, like light you on fire for all eternity.

Here's the problem: an anti-Christian organization got its way.  It got the U.S. military to back down - to disinvite Franklin Graham from participating in a National Day of Prayer ceremony at the Pentagon.  Something Franklin Graham has done in the past.  But now, according to Weinstein, Graham's Christianity is not 'inclusive' enough.

How ironic since Franklin and his father, Billy Graham, met with President Obama yesterday and PRAYED with him.  That's right.  It's okay for Franklin Graham to pray with the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces, but don't let him get near a podium on the National Day of Prayer at the Pentagon.  This is absurd.

During their meeting in North Carolina, Franklin brought up the controversy and told the President about activists like Weinstein whose agenda is to try to pull all religion out of the military.
 
"I wanted to make him aware of that," Franklin Graham said. The President told Franklin that "he said he would look into it."
