ACLJ: Murder of US Aid Worker Underscores Need for President Obama to Develop Effective Strategy to Destroy ISIS

(Washington, DC) - The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) said today the murder of an American aid worker by ISIS - the Islamic State - underscores the need for the Obama Administration to develop an effective strategy to pursue and destroy the radical jihadists.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Kayla Mueller who was murdered by radical Islamists,” said Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the ACLJ. “President Obama’s response is woefully inadequate. His pledge to ‘bring to justice’ the terrorists who are responsible for Kayla’s captivity and death is misplaced and misguided. President Obama needs to understand that battling ISIS is not confined to a courtroom - but instead, requires a well-coordinated and aggressive strategy to pursue and destroy the radical jihadists. Mr. President, stop telling America we will bring these terrorists to justice. Mr. President, it’s time to confront and destroy the enemy, not take them to court.”

The family of Kayla Mueller today confirmed that the 26-year-old humanitarian aid worker has been killed. This brutal act comes on the heels of the heinous act by ISIS of burning alive a Jordanian pilot.

Sekulow added:  “The one thing we have learned about ISIS: their barbaric acts of terrorism only embolden them further and serve to inspire and recruit more radical Islamists to join their global war.”
