Stand With Israel
It's happened again. In an attempt to defend itself, the nation of Israel is in the crosshairs - facing criticism and condemnation over efforts to protect its homeland and its people.
When Israel tried to inspect ships to look for weapons bound for Gaza - weapons to be used against Israel - Israeli soldiers came under attack - clubbed, beaten and stabbed by so-called 'activists.' Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said Israel had no choice but to respond with force - acting in self defense.
And now there are reports that the organizers of this flotilla of ships has ties to a larger group that has been known to finance terrorism - an organization headed-up by a Sheikh known for encouraging suicide attacks against Israeli civilians. Further, the head of this organization reportedly provides funds to financially back Hamas.
Now there's a growing global drumbeat - from the United Nations - to condemn Israel - to criticize a nation under assault - a nation facing constant threats and life-threatening attacks.
Israel is our friend. Israel is our strongest ally. I have mobilized our United Nations team and attorneys in Washington and Jerusalem. It's important that we take a stand for Israel during this critical time.
