One News Now - AZ immigration statute still up for argument

A Christian law firm has filed an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to uphold the constitutionality of Arizona's controversial immigration enforcement statute.

The American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ) is representing 57 members of Congress and more than 65,000 Americans in urging the Supreme Court to overturn a federal appeals court decision that declared the Arizona immigration law unconstitutional.

The ACLJ amicus brief contends the decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit should be reversed "because it exalts administrative 'priorities and strategies' over Congress' clear and manifest intent to welcome state involvement in the enforcement of federal immigration law."
