As you know, we've been tracking the progress of the Stop Online Piracy Act, and have expressed serious concerns that it could suppress the free speech and due process rights of Americans. Now, as the House Judiciary Committee prepares to consider the bill this morning, the ACLJ has issued this update on the newest version of the bill here.

We are encouraged by the improvements in this latest draft of the bill. However, we remain mindful that we must continue to monitor this legislation as it moves through the legislative process to ensure that the rights of Americans are protected.
