Poised to Meet Challenges from Secular Censors this Christmas Season

As the secular censors once again take aim at the Christmas holiday, the American Center for Law and Justice is poised to protect the First Amendment expression of Christmas and stands ready to engage the issue in the courts and in the public square. 

While Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, each year theres a constitutional tug-of-war over whats appropriate in school, at work and in the public arena.  The Constitution is very clear about expressing your deeply held religious beliefs despite an unrelenting quest by some to censor the true meaning of Christmas.  Those at school, at work, and in the public arena enjoy broad constitutionally protected rights to celebrate Christmas without fear or intimidation.  Whether it is hostility or political correctness, its troubling that theres an ongoing concerted effort to secularize Christmas and censor religious expression.  We stand ready to meet these challenges both in the public arena and in court if necessary.

We have prepared two informational letters outlining whats legally permissible this Christmas season in school and in the public arena.  We are sending the information to more than 950,000 supporters via email regarding both school holiday celebrations and  holiday displays.
