I am happy to report that each and every request for assistance that has come into the American Center for Law and Justice regarding Christmas has been resolved successfully.  With schools getting ready to go on break, it is clear to me that we have had a very successful year with public recognition of Christmas celebrations.

I also want to give you an update on the Military Chaplains Prayer Petition which now exceeds 166,000 names.  Our Office of Governmental Affairs is working with Congressman Jones and White House officials in order to move this request for an Executive Order forward.  As I have said so often, military chaplains play a vital role in providing comfort and spiritual support for our men and women who serve this country protecting our freedoms.  It has been troubling to learn of case after case where chaplains have been censored.  For Christian chaplains to refrain from praying in the name of Jesus, as some in the military have suggested, represents a serious disservicenot only to the chaplains, but to the many Christian servicemen and women who turn to their chaplains for comfort, inspiration and support.  For frequent updates and postings on this issue, please go to www.aclj.org.
