Over the weekend, I have been preparing for a major debate that is going to take place this evening at Malone College in Canton, Ohio.  Dr. Newdow and I will be participating in the Worldview Forum on the topic, How High a Wall?  God and Politics.  Michael Newdow is the medical doctor/lawyer who has sought to remove the phrase under God out of the Pledge of Allegiance and our national motto, In God We Trust, off our currency.  Michael Newdow and I disagree on the Establishment Clause, but we have always maintained a friendly and cordial relationship.  I know we are both looking forward to tonights Worldview Forum debate at Malone College.

The students, faculty and staff at Malone College are expecting an excess of 1000 members of the community to participate in the Worldview Forum tonight.  I try to take opportunities to participate in these forums at colleges and law schools around the country because I think its important for us to get our position out in a reasonable, intelligent manner.

We just received word that the Supreme Court of the United States has extended the deadline for the brief in the partial-birth abortion case.  It now appears that the brief will be due towards the middle of May.  We are busy going through the court transcripts and records in order to put forward the most compelling argument we can in support of the personhood of the unborn child.  This is especially relevant in a case like this where the child is partially delivered when the abortion is performed.
