Counting our Blessings this Thanksgiving

As Americans we have immense freedoms and enjoy great blessings. This year at the ACLJ we have a lot to be thankful for: from Pastor Youcef’s release to children being able to use their Bible in our public schools. Thank you for standing with us in defense of faith and freedom.

Here are just a few of the things we can be thankful for this year:

• Thankful that women can see their baby and make the choice for life.

• Thankful that churches are free to practice their faith without intrusion from the state.

• Thankful for a victory against false prosecution of churches in Russia.

• Thankful that student-led Bible clubs are not banned in our schools.

• Thankful that the Bible is not banned in our schools.

• Thankful that students are allowed to discuss their faith and share encouraging Bible verses with their classmates in school.

• Thankful that the government cannot stop a Christian daycare from sharing scripture with children.

• Thankful that the terrorist-led Palestinian authority cannot bring false war crimes charges against Israeli citizens.

• Thankful that a second grade little girl is allowed to say “God” in a poem she wrote in school.

• Thankful that a majority of Americans are pro-life.

• Thankful that the Ten Commandments are allowed to stand in a public park.

• Thankful that medical professionals cannot be forced to perform abortions in violation of their faith.

• Thankful that Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani was released from prison in Iran.

• Thankful for Pastor Youcef’s attorney, who was willing to stand up against Iran and is now imprisoned for defending human rights.
