A Florida court has just rejected a request from Florida Governor Jeb Bush to take physical custody of Terri Schiavo based on new allegations of neglect in the case.  The court also issued an order prohibiting Gov. Bush from removing her from the hospice.  Terri is in day seven of no food and no hydration.  Please continue to pray for her and her parents.

Earlier today, the Supreme Court of the United States rejected an appeal by the parents of Terri Schiavo to reinsert her feeding tube.  The court issued a one sentence statement rejecting the appeal.  There was no written dissent from the court.  We do know the appeal went first to Justice Kennedy and then he likely circulated the petition to the full court for their consideration.  The one sentence denial does not give any indication how the court viewed this issue and how the Justices voted on this issue.  As I have said many times, an appeal to the Supreme Court is always an uphill battle but it was the only federal appeal action left to take.
