I just got word that the federal appeals court in Atlanta has rejected a request to rehear Terri Schiavo's case and rejected a request to reinsert the feeding tube which was removed from Terri 13 days ago.

The federal appeals court considered the request for some 15 hours before making its decision.   The court said  that "any further action by our court or the district court would be improper." Judge Stanley F. Birch Jr. wrote: "While the members of her family and the members of Congress have acted in a way that is both fervent and sincere, the time has come for dispassionate discharge of duty."

To be granted, the parents' request would have needed the support of seven of the court's 12 judges. The court did not disclose the vote breakdown.

Please continue to pray for Terri and her family.  I will keep you posted if there are any new developments.
