Senate Judiciary Committee Votes Underway for Robertss Confirmation

As I write you this briefing, the Judiciary Committee is in session right now voting on the nomination of John Roberts.  Of course, all the Republicans are voting in his favor.  What is interesting is that, as of this posting, Senator Leahy, the ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, and Senator Kohl (D-WI) have voted in favor of John Robertss confirmation.  This bodes well for the floor debate that will take place next week.  We will keep you posted as additional votes come in.
