This morning, 30 of my law students are arriving at our offices in Washington, DC.  For the past three months, I have been teaching a course on Supreme Court history; and today, our students will be touring the Supreme Court and receiving a lecture from the 19th Clerk of the Court.  Also during the day, they will have an opportunity to meet with Senator Sam Brownback who served on the Judiciary Committee.  He will be giving the students an inside look into the confirmation battles that have taken place for positions at the Supreme Court of the United States.  In the afternoon, our students will experience first-hand the inner working s of the United States Capitol and will meet with Congressman Trent Franks.

Regent Law School provides an unprecedented opportunity to garner first-hand experience from lawyers who are engaged in the active practice of law.  In addition, we have started a Washington, DC, semester for Regent University Law School, focusing on the legislative process, Supreme Court practice and trial practice.  Each semester, students from our main campus in Virginia Beach, VA, spend an entire semester at our Washington, DC, offices located directly across from the Supreme Court.  We will post pictures from this event on the website in the next several days.

An important part of what we do at Regent Law School is training a generation of lawyers who will fight for the constitutional freedoms that we hold dear.
