With the Florida judge extending the stay in the Terri Schiavo case until 5pm ET Friday, there is an important legal development to report as well.  Governor Bush, who has worked aggressively in the past to save the life of Terri, has said he will do everything in his power to assist her again.  And, the Florida Department of Children and Family Services has asked the court to intervene in Terri's case - a development that could be significant.

Florida attorney David Gibbs, who represents Terri's parents in the current litigation, has raised important issues with the Florida court.  We are hopeful the court will keep the stay in place until these critical issues can be reviewed.

At the same time, with oral arguments just days away in the Ten Commandments cases at the Supreme Court, I want to let you know we are preparing for another round of moot court sessions - to assist the attorneys who will present the arguments before the high court March 2nd.  I want to continue to ask for your prayers for Mat Staver, President of Liberty Counsel; Greg Abbott, Attorney General of Texas; and Paul Clement, Acting Solicitor General of the United States.  And I want to remind you of an important opportunity we have to publicize our position on these important cases.  I am participating in a debate being held today in Washington on the Ten Commandments sponsored by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life.  C-SPAN is planning to cover the event live at the National Press Club.  We will post a photo gallery from the event on our website later today and I will have a complete report tomorrow on our radio broadcast.
