Angry Atheists, History and America's Future
Millions of Americans know the story of the Ground Zero Cross, the twisted steel beams that fell from the wreckage of the World Trade Center on 9/11, beams in the shape of a cross. Fewer, however, know that this cross is now at a different “Ground Zero” – Ground Zero of an atheist attack on our religious past, and our religious future. Found by excavator Frank Silecchia and consecrated by Father Brian Jordan, a Franciscan Priest, it grew to become a symbol of hope and comfort... Continue Reading

A Victory for Common Sense: New York Judge Rules for Ground Zero Cross
Easter weekend brought us two pieces of very good legal news. The first -- yet another victory against Obamacare’s abortion-pill mandate -- Ed White posted about late Friday night. The second, however, went largely unnoticed in the media until this morning. A New York federal judge ruled resoundingly that the Ground Zero Cross’s presence in the 9/11 Museum did not violate the Establishment Clause. The ruling is a victory for history and for common sense. The history here is bey... Continue Reading

Despite Atheists’ Absurd Claims, Ground Zero Cross does not Violate the Constitution
For more than a decade, the Ground Zero Cross has stood as a symbol of hope, found rising out of the rubble at Ground Zero in the aftermath of the worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history. Yet, the American Atheists actually argue in federal court that the mere “existence of the cross” is causing them “depression, headaches, anxiety, and mental pain and anguish.” The cross exists because it is was what was left of the remains of the World Trade Center after ... Jay Sekulow: New Effort to Protect Ground Zero Cross
You already know about the legal issues involving the battle over the Ground Zero cross - the twisted steel beams - the wreckage from the Twin Towers - formed into the shape of a cross at the site. You already know about the lawsuit filed by the American Atheists challenging the cross, claiming that their plaintiffs are experiencing "depression, headaches, anxiety, and mental pain and anguish" - not from the devastating destruction of life caused by the terrorists on 9/11 - but as a "direct and... Angry Atheists at it Again: More Attacks No Substance
The President of American Atheists – the group suing to remove the Ground Zero Cross from a 9/11 museum – has taken note of the ACLJ’s efforts to protect the Cross and my article for the Washington Post pointing out the ridiculousness of the Atheists’ efforts to whitewash American history from all religious references. Well, sort of . . . In his attack on the ACLJ – saying we “act like children” and are attempting to distract because we “cannot de... Continue Reading

The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Protecting American Atheists
It is with the utmost urgency that I write this blog. A group of atheists have filed a lawsuit to prevent the inclusion of the historic Ground Zero Cross at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. We have learned from their lawsuit that they, “have suffered, are suffering, and will continue to suffer damages, both physical and emotional, from the existence of the challenged cross.” Atheists have reportedly endured cross-induced, “dyspepsia [upset stomach], symptoms of depression, head...
