Ground Zero Mosque Uses Eve of 9/11 Anniversary to Fundraise
Should the developers of the Ground Zero Mosque use the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to fundraise for their Islamic mosque, set to be constructed on the site where wreckage from one of the planes used in that terrorist attack landed? That is exactly what the developers of the Ground Zero Mosque are doing. A little over a month before the anniversary of the horrific terrorist attacks of 9/11, Sharif El-Gamal, the developer of the Ground Zero Mosque, launched a $7 million fundra... Continue Reading

Is Terry Jones the real problem?
The problem is not Terry Jones. In countries with real freedom, there will be plenty of provocateurs. It is the media and organizations --Politico reported in the case of Jones that it was the Council on American-Islamic Relations that first focused on the planned burning-- that have the ability to decide who gets attention. CAIR has now condemned the violence that resulted from Joness actions. I do not believe that burning Korans is at all necessary to make a case for the concerns many of us h... Continue Reading

CAIR's cause for concern
Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, will begin holding hearings Thursday on "the extent of the radicalization of American Muslims." Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, has characterized the hearings as "a witch hunt." Are they? King also has said he believes the "self-radicalization" of American Muslims represents "a very small minority" of the overall community. What are the potential consequences of singling out one religious group? Ghassan Elashi is serving a sixty-five year prison sentence for funneling money to Hamas. Randall Royer is serving a twenty-year sentence after pleading guilty to weapons charges in Virginia. Both had been at one time associated with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Elashi was a founder of CAIR-Texas and Royer served as a communications specialist for the organization. Based on those cases alone, CAIR has cause for concern in these hearings. When these hea... Standing Up for Oregon Teacher
It doesn't make sense. A teacher at a Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon was scheduled to teach a course on Islam. Instead of being able to conduct the course, the teacher was fired - given a pink slip for speaking the truth about Islam. What's worse. The terrorism-related group CAIR pressured the school to get rid of the teacher. That's right - intimidation from CAIR - an organization that the U.S. government labeled an 'unindicted co-conspirator' in a major terrorism case with links to Hamas. We are now representing the teacher, Barry Sommer, and have sent a demand letter to the school. If the school does not rehire our client and reinstate the class, we will take legal action. You can read the letter here. This is absurd. Not only did the school violate the First Amendment free speech rights of our client, it caved in to the bullying tactics employed by CAIR. This is CAIR's strategy - intimidate - attack. We're not going to let that happen. We're standing up for... Continue Reading
