Easter Prayers for Pastor Saeed
Many of us will gather this weekend with family and friends to celebrate Easter - the resurrection of Jesus Christ. For me and my family, we also celebrate Passover - God's deliverance of the Jewish people from the bondage of slavery under Egypt's Pharaohs. During this important time, I want to ask you to pause for a moment and reflect on the freedoms each one of us possess in America - freedom to celebrate Easter - to celebrate Passover - the freedom to express our faith - without fear - witho... Egypt’s President Joins in Prayer for Destruction of “Jews and Their Supporters”
Dangers continue to increase for Christians and Jews in Egypt. News reports are saying that the former head of the Muslim Brotherhood, now President of Egypt, Mohammed Morsi “participated in prayers over the weekend in which the preacher urged Allah to ‘destroy the Jews and their supporters.’” This prayer service was broadcast on state-run television in Egypt on Friday. The Anti-Defamation League confirmed that Morsi himself could be plainly seen “mouthing ‘a... Continue Reading

Angry Atheists Bully Locality to Squelch Public Prayer
The atheist group Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) is at it again, attacking prayer at public meetings. This time the target of their attack was my hometown. For more than a quarter century Henrico County, Virginia had opened its Board of Supervisors meetings with an invocation, much like many other county boards and city councils around the country. After the June 12th meeting, which opened with an invocation by a local Baptist pastor, someone complained. The complaints came from two ... Continue Reading

Congress Takes Steps to Support Prayer at School Board Meetings
In the wake of a string of recent attacks on public prayer in the courts – a state appellate court struck down a day of prayer proclamation and a federal appeals court held prayer at one town’s board meetings unconstitutional – Members of Congress are taking action. Representative Tim Walberg (MI-7), a member of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, along with thirty-three co-sponsors, has introduced a resolution expressing support for prayer at school board meetings. H.Res. 662 sp... Continue Reading

Court Rules Prayer Proclamation Unconstitutional
Just a week after “record turnout” for the National Day of Prayer, as millions joined together in prayer all across America, a state appellate court has declared the proclamation of a day of prayer unconstitutional. The Colorado Court of Appeals has ruled that the Governor’s Colorado Day of Prayer proclamation, which was first issued in 1905, is unconstitutional. The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), an atheist group which has sought to stamp out any semblance of our r... Continue Reading

Planned Parenthood “Celebrate” Abortion
Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, is always trying to convince the public that their business is about helping women, not abortion, and that abortion should be rare. But the abortion giant’s new prayer guide shows their true intent as they “celebrate” abortion in their prayers. Jordan and Matthew Clark, expose the truth in their latest article for the Washington Post, “Planned Parenthood’s abortion prayer.” They write: Pro-lif... Continue Reading

Planned Parenthood’s Prayer of “Thanks for Abortion Providers” and their "Sacred Care”
“Today we pray for all the staff at abortion clinics around the nation. May they be daily confirmed in the sacred care that they offer women.” This is not a satirical prayer. This is the actual prayer of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business. Planned Parenthood has recently put out a pro-abortion prayer guide, 40 Days of Prayer Supporting Women Everywhere, encouraging abortion supporters everywhere to offer prayers of “thanks for abortion providers....
