A Strange Take on Iran and North Korea
Did you know that America is softer on North Korea than it is on Iran . . . because of the Israel lobby? That’s the conclusion of Leslie H. Gelb in the Daily Beast. He notes that we’ve allowed North Korea to obtain and test nuclear weapons while at the same time vowing that Iran will never gain the bomb. He begins: The White House press corps should ask President Obama this question: You’ve told Iran’s leaders that if they come close to marrying a nuclear warhead with... Continue Reading

Doubling Down on Hate
Three weeks ago we gave Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood government a $250 million economic stimulus package, and this week we decided to double-down in our national support for anti-Semites by giving the Palestinian Authority its own $500 million bonus. Never mind that this is the same Palestinian Authority that late last year directly defied the U.S. and violated the Oslo Agreements by pursuing non-member observer state status at the U.N. Never mind that this is the same Palestinian Authority ... Continue Reading

For this President, Support for Israel is Breaking News
I, along with I am sure many others, just received a breaking news alert from the Wall Street Journal on President Obama’s trip to Israel. The headline: “Obama: Israel has a Right to Defend Itself.” Nothing could be a clearer example of the sad state of affairs of this Administration’s abysmal record on Israel than this. It is breaking news that the President of the United States has acknowledged that our greatest ally in the Middle East has the right to defend itself.... Continue Reading

Aid to Muslim Brotherhood Egypt: Senator Rubio Steps Up
Opposition to funding our enemies is building. Just days after news that Congress cut the State Department’s request for Egypt funding, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida introduced an Amendment calling for tough new conditions on aid. Speaking from the Senate floor, Senator Rubio noted that foreign aid isn’t charity but is designed to “further our national interests.” Senator Rubio’s conditions require Egypt to demonstrate with actions, not just words, that it an al... The Obama Doctrine - Kill American Terrorists Overseas, Try Foreign Terrorists in New York City
As an attorney who’s spent more than a dozen years protecting the right of both America and Israel to wage war against international terrorism, including appearances before the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court at the Hague, I’m stumped. My American Center for Law & Justices colleagues at our offices all over the world from Jerusalem, to France, to Washington, D.C. --who are even at this moment at an anti-terrorism conference in Israel -- are puzzled. ... Bipartisan Senate Resolution to Support Israel
Israel has long been one of our nation’s closest – and most important – allies. It is our relationship with Israel that serves as the foundation of our foreign policy in the most volatile region of the world – the Middle East. Israel has consistently and steadfastly stood with the United States, and has often done so when virtually none its neighbors have joined them. It is a relationship that the U.S. can ill afford to lose. Fortunately, our alliance with Israel has... Continue Reading

Anti-Israel Hagel Nomination being Forced Through Senate to Hide More Anti-Israel Rhetoric?
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is attempting to force a Senate vote on former Senator Chuck Hagel’s Secretary of Defense nomination, as potentially damaging disclosures are imminent. A vote on this dangerous nomination is scheduled for as early as this afternoon, but new opposition is emerging. As we have been telling you for weeks, Hagel is the wrong choice for Secretary of Defense. He cannot answer for his long record of refusing to support Israel. He continues to stand by votes t... Outlawing the Law of War
Earlier this week, the New York Times published an op-ed by George Bisharat, a professor at UC Hastings College of Law, calling for the Palestinians to bring complaints against Israel in the International Criminal Court based on Israeli military operations against Palestinian terrorists. The Palestinian Authority has tried this tactic before, but the ICC’s chief prosecutor declined the case because Palestine is not a state. (Full disclosure: My colleagues at the ACLJ filed briefs and made ... Continue Reading

Hagel Unable to Defend Anti-Israel Record
Yesterday, former Senator Chuck Hagel displayed before the Senate Armed Services Committee and the world a myriad of reasons why he should not be the next Secretary of Defense. As the short snippet of his disastrous confirmation hearing above shows, he was unable to defend or account for his long record of opposition to Israel and continued appeasement of Iran. We cannot stand silent and allow President Obama’s anti-Israel nominee for Secretary of Defense to slip through confirmation uno... Continue Reading
