Pastor Youcef the Movie: Fact or Fiction

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani pictured in Iranian Jail

As international pressure increases, the Iranian regime is now taking new measures to delegitimize Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani. Iranian film director Nader Talebzadh is making a "documentary" about Pastor Youcef. One would hope that such a documentary would expose the truth about the persecution of Pastor Youcef. However, Mr. Talebzadh has said he will work directly with the Iranian judiciary in producing the film. In announcing that he is in the beginning stages of the documentary, Mr.   Continue Reading...

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani’s Iranian attorney has been convicted for his work defending human rights and is expected to have to begin serving his nine-year sentence in the near future. Governor Vetoes Religious Liberty at Vanderbilt

    University of Vanderbilt Students

On Tuesday I reported that the Tennessee legislature had overwhelmingly voted to protect religious liberty at Vanderbilt University. Vanderbilt, a non-religious private school and recipient of massive amounts of state and federal taxpayer dollars, had implemented a policy that required religious student groups to open themselves to non-religious leadership. In response, the legislature passed a bill that did two things: (1) protected religious liberty at all public universities in the state to p   Continue Reading...

The Battle of Vanderbilt: The Tennessee Legislature Comes Through

    Vanderbilt University Students

For some time I've been commenting on a critical front in the battle for religious liberty on campus, the fight for religious liberty at Vanderbilt University. For those who haven't been following this case, a summary: In the name of a particularly empty-headed and hypocritical brand of "nondiscrimination," Vanderbilt is requiring campus Christian groups to be open to non-Christian leadership, even as it protects the special prerogatives of its large (and powerful) community of fraternities and   Continue Reading...

The only thing that has prevented his execution to this date are the prayers of millions throughout the world and increasing international pressure calling for Pastor Youcef’s immediate release. The U.S. House of Representatives already unanimously passed a resolution calling for his release, and now a companion resolution is pending in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
